Practical PArenting

What is practical parenting and why do I love this concept? It's the ability to use what you have to make the child/caregiver relationship enjoyable. This type of parenting is little to no cost, takes a little time, effort, and of course a lot of patience and practice. If I could provide you with useful tools to add to your parent tool belt to overcome some of the challenging moments then together we can make MAGIC!

Kids are easy to please...okay, maybe not a toddler, but the most your child will require is attention.  Of course, after all the roles adults play in life, attention may be the last thing you can give. However, you would be surprised how far just sitting next to your child as they engage in play will get you. Physical presence may be the only tool we have.

Relationship building is key. A child will not trust you as a caregiver if the attachment is minimum. Wanting your child to buy into whatever parenting tools you use has to start with them knowing that, in some fashion, the parent child relationship is reciprocal. I care about you and you care about me.

The more people have studied different methods of bringing up children, the more they have came up to the conclusion that what good mothers and fathers instinctively feel like doing for their babies is the best after all.
